Today an extraordinary meeting of Kashmir Bar Association was convened under the chairmanship of Bar President Advocate N. A. Ronga in which the serious view taken up by the European Union regarding the presence and discovery of unidentified mass graves at various places including Army Camps in the State of Jammu and Kashmir is a step towards highlighting the plight of innocent Kashmiris which is highly appreciated. This credible query raised by the members of the European Union and their serious concern regarding the ethnic genocide and planned disappearances of innocent Kashmiris executed by agencies of Occupational Forces is a step towards unmasking the perpetrators of these crimes, the Kashmir Bar Association appreciates this move and sincerely offers its full support and cooperation with detailed logistical as well as documentary support to this inquest. The Bar Association for long has been raising the issue of custodial disappearances not only here but also before all the International Foras, and whenever, the Bar Association has had an opportunity to attend and address various Human Rights Conferences including the United Nations it has always strived and has been very vocal regarding an appointment of a International Tribunal which would act without any bias or under any pressure in order to bring this Kashmiri Human Tragedy to forefront where the outrage regarding these grave issues has always been muted. We hope the International Tribunal will also deal with the cases of custodial disappearances and will use its resources in synergy with the documented proofs and records which have been meticulously prepared by the Bar Association in order to trace out the disappeared persons so that the truth could prevail.
